Just had some fajita's for lunch today myself too. I've met up with several (dozens and dozens) of your fire-ants when in the southern parts of Texas. It was not a pleasant experience and the fact that I was jumping around and slapping myself all over like what Jimbo described earlier, didn't show me off in a favourable light to any of the people nearby who I happened to be screaming at at the time. Seems when you look and act like a madman, people treat you like a leper.
Well nothing that dramatic really, but it was a painful experience all the same.

I was thinking more that the weather keeps many of the bad bugs at bay but you bring up another good point.

The farther north you get the food as a general rule tends to be blander. We have more natural refrigeration so traditionally we do not need spices to cover up bad food!

Not that I don't like a good Mexican meal. I know very few places around here that you can find one. The farther north one goes the more that seems to get lost in the translation. But then again I could say the same thing regarding trying to find a good Chinese restaurant.

We need a smiley face of a little man doing a forehead slapping thing. Of course! See, that's why you're do smart and I'm so dumb, Tom. You just seem to see things.

I'm actually feeling quite chipper and well today, thank you. :-)

Yeah, I would have said an ant pile, being a Florida boy I've seen a few the Florida variety looks like a pile of dirt with a large hole in the center.

My next guess would have been what is left of the Branch Davidian complex in Waco. Oops did I say that out loud?

No, it was funny. The next time before a bee stings me I'm putting a condom on it. Who knows where they've been...
