It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

It amazes me how much bacon costs in civilian stores. I buy bacon at the militar y commisary for $1.79 a pound. If i go to safeawy that same pound of bacon costs $5.00.. So the. Stores must be reaaly making a killing off bacon?

It's possible that the bacon you get at the PX might be dead longer than you've been alive (WW2 joke).

$5/lb?! In our civvie stores you can easily get it for $3 for half a kilo (1.1lb). Keep buying our exports, my friends

Yea man it really wise to save the grease. The best way to cook anything is to use bacon grease. It makes vetables tasty.
