    You avoid my wrongs?

You only want to see my pleasant.

    But without knowing my wrongs,

    You don't know me!

That's an interesting point of view. Totally valid.

But perhaps if he did know you, perhaps you were his best mate or brother, he would know you quite well, but to avoid conflict he turns a blind eye to what he see's as wrong in you or your actions. An acceptance of a sort, of the person you are, just ignoring some of the aspects of who you are...

I can't believe I'm trying to have a discussion about one of Carls poems... Now that ain't right! And if it ain't right it could well be one of those wrongs Carl would like to be hidden from...Turn away Carl! Don't look mate!

Yes, you're right. It was more about a society or nation than an individual. I think sometimes we get to know too much negative stuff...

And Mick, I'm honored you're even accommodating the idea of discussing my poem :-)

I just read it to my 14 year old sun, and he said "Yuuup".

Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Can you explain the voluptuous wine serpent? Maybe a picture!

    You might ruin your reputation!

As I reread more than once I can see the thought of show your good side. Suppress the bad and let the good show.
We all are good and bad mixed but let the good rule.

Thank you for your thoughts. Now I will have to go back and examine it from that point of view.

Well, she looks a lot like a mermaid, reddish hair. Little like that English cook lady, Nigela someone. Very slinky. She has wine.

Yes, exactly. Again, more about a country or society than an individual. Not 'suppress', more, 'I don't want to know it'. I know it exists, but keep it away from me. And don't allow me to partake of it. Which is why the seemingly negative (wine serpent) is mixed in with praise of the good things a bit (houses filled with scents and feelings and food).

Bailey my grandson went to kindy for the first time a few weeks ago. The teacher there told my daughter that Bailey 'would be classified as a naughty kid', I assume meaning if they 'used' classifications. I told my daughter I wanted to meet the teacher. She said she didn't think that was a good idea. I said I just wanted to classify the teacher. She said yes Dad, I know, that's why I don't think it's a good idea. I hate the idea of classifying and segregating people, we often do it based on the badges they wear; the character they're portraying, and our judgement of it.
