    Default 30 hours in Honalulu.

Pearl Harbor would be a good one, there are many things to do there. The USS Arizona Memorial, the USS Bowfin WWII submarine, the USS Missouri battleship, and the Pacific Aviation Museum. If you did want to rent a car you don't have to do it at the airport there are rental locations at a few Waikiki hotels.

I spent 36 hours with a Hawaiian lady once. All I learned from her that I can post here was "Okole Maluna." Have a great time!!!

Such a great place and only 36 hours? Whatever you do make the most of it!

Hey dustoff, I remember when you could go around the island on The Bus for just fifty cents! How much is it now?

In the summer months the surf is bigger on the South and West shores, in the winter the big swells come and hit the North and East shores.

Disclaimer: I am not a Combat Diver my buddy and I just referred to our night dives there as such due to the level of difficulty, going out in less than pristine conditions, and the abuse suffered.
That's the name I was trying to thinkof! Giovanni's!

I was not into diving.. I tried it once and got a squeeze. Seemed like a lot of prep for just a little pleasure.. I was a big surfer though. Had the VW pop top van with 9 footer and a 7.2 on top at all times... When the surf was low I would spear with a sling..

So much to do on Oahu! When we went there in '86 (almost 30 years ago!) I remember going all the places that were pictured in Hawaii Five-0 (you remember, the REAL one!). Went snorkeling in both Hanauma and Kahneohe Bays, climbed up that tunnel inside Diamondhead, even toured the Dole Pineapple cannery for some reason! It is a beautiful place. Too bad you don't have time to rent a car and drive around the island, which is what we did (couldn't afford to rent the red Magnum Ferrari's that were all over the island then, though). You would have time for Pearl Harbor and the Arizona Memorial, though. Have fun!

I think a bus fare is up to $2 now, and the circle island was the 52 route, I think that TheBus modified or stopped that route now though.
