Thanked: 485I'm not sure yet, all the results aren't yet posted. I'm pissed off I didn't send (climb successfully) the two blue problems, but it's rare that i walk up to a blue problem and send it on the first attempt (called 'flashing' a problem) or even on the first day; often it takes some weeks to work it out; and then i can repeat it time and time again and try and do it 'with style'. Sometimes you send a problem but know it was clumsy or not the best technique (i.e. the moves were fumbling or weren't the most economic in regards to effort and work.
It is INDEED a feat to be bouldering at 40+, and I'm 50 plus!
Without wanting to big note myself, STARTING bouldering at 50 was a pretty good thing; I think it really demonstrated my over all fitness to start such an intense form of climbing (bouldering is more intense than other forms, such as top roping, sport and trad climbing) at that age. My twin brother can't even pull himself off the ground.
Today I did 15 chinups - ALL the way up, ALL the way down (straight arms) and the other day I did sets of chinups and dips with 7.5 kilos hung around my waist.
I'm on the left in the photo in the blue singlet...
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Nice work Carl, you really should reward yourself, a nice brush by semogue or something....
Seriously though, I am 35 and you'd poo al over me at pretty much anything physical except perhaps sumo, and even then sometimes the small guy wins. I reckon I could have you at seesawing though.Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast
