Thread: AD's on SRP?

Just wondering if anyone else is getting any of the google bars with the ad's popping up while viewing SRP. It seems like any thread I enter has an ad bar after the first post, featuring shaving stuff, exotic wood and other bits and bites that are roughly related to what we talk about here. The bar clearly says they are google sponsored ads and they appear in the SRP format/color scheme.

Is this a new thing? I've only noticed it today. Could it be my settings?

If money is a concern I'm happy to contribute a bit of cash to keep the site running...

Maybe it's your forum skin? I use the christmas skin right now. If it's not that then I suspect you may have some kind of spyware thingie that injects its ads inside forum software output?

Ive got adds also between the first and second post on each page. It's only started today '

I'd check your software. Maybe try surfing this site with a linux live-cd or something. Who's the referral in the google ads?

I never saw any ads here. I do have a pop-up blocker. Would that be the solution?

It's skin-specific. Only appears with the steel blue (SRP default) skin. The ads are after the first post, then every 5th post after that.

I see it at the top when I first open the forum.
And it appears after the first post on each page in this thread.

I believe right now David's just experimenting with various options. Whatever is decided will then be propagated to all styles.
