Jerry Lee Lewis was born in 1935!

Way back when at Sun Studios, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley jammed together (they were subsequently called the 'Million Dollar Quartet). No one thought to record it!
It was recorded informally. IOW, that tape was running but they were just playing around. Still some really interesting stuff for fans.

Well, for those interested, and since Spendur just doesn't need Paul McCartney to feel old, here are the remaining members of Nirvana and the Sir Beatle jamming out a new track...

    Personally, I like it. ..

I did the rock/roll in the 60s and 70s and have the hearing aids to prove my dedication.
After a Rod Stewart show I could not hear for three day.

No old time Rock & Roll thread would be complete without Little Richard

Buddy Holly is my all-time favorite. Oh how I wish Buddy, Ritchie, and the Big Bopper hadn't been killed in that plane crash.

Many rockers seem to keep gigging into their twilight years. Janis Martin , Joe Clay ,Wanda Jackson.
I know Janis passed but I think the others 2 are still at it ?

Thank you for this video! I just finished watching it! I LOVED IT!! Having Paul McCartney at the end on acoustic guitar was perfect!

Here's a link to where John Fogerty in inducts Buddy Holley into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame:

New ? innovative? Come on , music has gone into the dark ages . record companies and ad agencies dont want original they want hip hop and dance shi t . I dont want to ;listen to music that is ten years old or older but no choice its all that is out there which is even worth of being called music.

Hate to tell you Shayne but the industry has rarely ever wanted original. Even in the 50's Pat Boone's & Elvis Presley's versions of anything a black band or singer did first got more airplay. It's all about what sells & makes the most money. Today hip hop & dance music sells because it's what kids like & buy.

btw hip hop music started over 30 years ago.

Ya , and it still sucks ! I agree partially with your comment but I still believe that there just isnt as many rockers or bands who even play with any real talent. any moob having zit face can conjure up synth sounds in his parents dungeon. Rockers just seem to be regurgitating what was done years ago. there is a serious lack of any desire to break ground.

Not a curmudgeon not a curmudgeon !! music has no soul ! its like listening to Loudness . technically good but heartless !
