That is still an option, but from what I hear they've improved their technique to where that isn't the only route. It's would probably mess me up big time as I'm right handed with a dominant left eye.

Awe dude - that's my affliction too. Makes shooting clay's uh.. interesting sometimes.

I haven't had it done, but all my friends seem to be flocking to the guy here in town doing it. It's almost a freaking fad lol! I am still too much of a wimp to even entertain it though.

The one thing they all say is the smell freaked them out.

    Good luck Wullie.

Can't smell any worse than branding cattle.

I'm going to go for the FREE CONSULTATION tomorrow and see what I think.

I've been shooting with my left eye shut or a piece of tape over my left lens all my life. LOL

+ 1..... I'm also right handed and left eye dominant and too much of a wimp to try it ..... or to want to pay that much for it. BTW, there was a paper my buddy had to sign after the told him there is a slight chance of total blindness ..... you have to absolve them of any blame no matter how it turns out. They didn't make that stipulation with my bifocals.

Been doing more research. Seems the FDA has only approved the "mono-vision". There is another process but it isn't approved in the US. Guess I'll keep my glasses and my money and skip the stink of burning eyeballs.

Oh well. Guess I better get a spare pair of glasses or two in case the TEOTWAWKI happens. I'd hate to be doomed to having to use a scattergun just to hit something blurry.

Dunno, I keep reading FDA is just one big government power grab to destroy the honest to God capitalist system and make America socialist

If it were me I'd read on what is that procedure, then go to the consultation and ask questions. If the smell of burning eye flesh bothers you, just shave that morning and pour a bottle of Acqua Velva all over you...

I was reading/told.. I have no proof at the moment! That in Great Briton that they are choosing with a government insurance that Lasik is cheaper than glassed in the long run and that they are then covering the surgery rather than glasses. Am I correct?

From my experience glasses are not that bad and I would not want someone cutting or lazering something that is not necessary.

FDA doesn't have much work left to do if all they are there for is make America socialist. The current administration appears to be doing a fine job all on its own. I suppose every little bit helps though.

65 mile one way trip through some of the worst traffic Dallas has to offer. Add to that I have to take off from work. I'll wait.

Branded many a calf, and burned the stumps after we de-horned the poor things. I've smelled a LOT better smells and a HELL of a lot worse in my 60 years. Burning cattle parts never bothered me. Doubt that the smell of 'em cooking my eyes would bother me either. But it ain't gonna happen this go around.

Like Jimmy said, $2500 will buy some more nice toys if I decide to use that way.

    You forgot the donuts again.
