All we can do is hold our loved ones closer, and make every moment count.
I can't even imagine if that were my children, what a waste of life.

Sometimes, tears are simply what is called for. I dont have any children of my own, and still my heart breaks.

As a brotherhood of men, performing an age old ritual, I for one hope that none amongst us still follow the old rule of "Men do not cry"
And thank you all for your restraint on this post.
Blessings and Peace to you all.

Can any 2nd ammendment advocates show any reason that certain legal weopens are NOT weopens of mass distruction? such as assault type weopens.
The NRA and 2nd adovocates are a bunch of wackos IMO

    Like I said before

Even if they out law guns it won't keep criminals from obtaining them, just law abiding citizens. Just like alcohol during the prohibition or drug use today. Just because it is illegal doesn't make it unobtainable making law abiding citizens unable to protect themselves against these lunatics. If teachers were able to carry maybe many more lives would have been saved

At times like this, words tend to fail me. All I can say is that I am heartbroken over this tragedy. No amount of posturing or legislation can bring back the lives of the children and adults killed. At this point, all we can hope for is that there is some sort of hell so that the man who did this will be eternally punished.

Today Anderson Cooper of CNN fame stated he wasn't going to mention the shooters name anymore as to give him anymore notoriety.

No matter what you think of Anderson or CNN - I think he's SPOT ON!

All the props in the world to Mr. Anderson if you ask me! I think he might be onto something.

I have to admit that I don't even know the murderer's name. I'm happy to keep it that way, too.

The first name that was released to the media, was that of his brother. By the time he found out what had happened, the social media had already had him convicted and were calling for his blood. He and the FBI got things straightened out. What is with the police or whomever is behind giving out information. You always see, information from a source under condition of anonymity. It just bothers me that, a person would divulge info like that, and the press would run with it just to get the scoop.

Default A prayer for those who are left

There are so many victims in this horrible event. My heart goes out to those who have been taken away from us. But, feel even more for the ones that remain here without them. The Mothers, the Fathers, all the family and friends who now have to go on without them. Those that are gone, their pain is over, those left to grieve, the pain is just beginning.

Things haven't always been rosy for me, there was a time in my life that things were really bad. The ONLY thing that kept me going, was my kids, that, and only that. I can safely say, I wouldn't be typing this now had if not for my kids around in the bad days.

I hope that in time those who have lost so much in this horror can find peace. Don

I seem to recall - any any UK members please correct me if this is incorrect - that after the Dunblane shooting many UK media outlets decided not to utter the name of the killer for exactly this reason. It seemed to me a good decision then, and it seems a good decision to me now.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
