Maple ... the sad thing is you are right. The time for that was years ago. The thing to remember is that nothing we say here can change anything that happened today. No need to be angry with our fellow gentlemen.

Such a terrible thing. I find it hard to comprehend why someone would do such a thing, even if they were crazy. Something like this can either ruin a community or draw it closer together - let's hope it is the latter.

It is a tragedy. I don' t know anything about it yet, other than that someone went on another killing spree.
My prayers will be with the victims.

Let's try to keep this thread civil, and perhaps free from too much pr / contra debate.
First of all because none of us are in a position where the outcome of the debate would solve anything, and secondly because arguing with hot emotions will only make people turn against each other.

Yes it may be the time for action, your ideas may or may not be correct but I believe the general consenus is that this is a thread for prayer and thought. I and many others would probably love a spirited debate. probably not today, and not on this thread.

That is correct. There is another thread currently looking at "action" as a result of this tragedy. This thread is for expressing our heartfelt sorrow to the victims and their families.

Agreed Adam, perhaps a forum should be created to say prayers and send condolances to those that die unwarranted deaths.
I will shut up as told to do so in this thread.

Can't do much in a concrete manner to help the survivors of this tragedy but I am touched by their losses. I hope they and their community can find the strength to get through this and rebuild their lives.
