Maybe 20 years ago I was a firm follower of Border Patrol legend Bill Jordan. The author of "No Second Place Winner" (as in a gunfight) . He was an advocate of revolvers for reliability. I packed a S&W M-29 44 magnum with a 4" bbl and, of course, a 6 round cylinder. One day I opened up the paper to see a fellow had walked up to an automobile in broad daylight , at a red light in a major intersection, Dixie Highway, and had emptied a Browning 9mm (15 rounds and one in the pipe) into the driver.
He was a prosecution witness in a pending drug dealer trial. The realization that 6 rounds in a wheelgun might leave me at a disadvantage , and the improvement in the functional reliability of semi automatic pistols, finally brought me into that camp. My revolvers are now range guns and my carry piece is a semi.
If I thought "they" could really get all of them I'd give mine up. They can't so I won't.
