I appreciate your input, I have brought this thread to the admin's attention. One thing you must keep in mind as you are relatively new, is that this is the first time anything like this has happened here at SRP. The moderators involved and the admin's as a whole are dealing with this issue I assure you.

Thanked: 4942Thanks Guys,
The only reason, I stepped in was that the action resulting from these threads spilled over and was disruptive and destructive to the forum beyond the threads. As this was a first of it's kind and involved Moderators, we want to be sure going forward that we do our best to present the best razor information available and maintain the open babershop conversation we have had all along.

Thanked: 0...but deleting the "off topic" section entirely would be a sad thing...no?

Yesterday was definately a sad day for SRP.
In my 11 months coming here, nothing like
this has ever happened. I hope that it
doesn't happen again.

Thanked: 369I have to say, and this is my opinion of course, but it seems to me that certain moderators (and sometimes regular members, to be fair) tend to strongly dominate discussions when they get involved. They also tend to change the tone of the discussions, and not always for the better. I know this can't be avoided in a free forum, but shouldn't moderators, be a bit more....moderate?
My 2 cents,

Thanked: 0what was so sad? I think it was a good, healthy debate...what was sad was that it was stopped...and when it was stopped...
I'm assuming we're all big boys and have our emotions mostly in check.
Let the the least rational and most hysterical show themselves.

Thanked: 0..In my opinion, the "moderator(s) in this case should simply be blown out, for lack of "moderation". "Problem" solved.
