I woke up, shaved with the wosty(not the 'helje 24' as I'd planned but still a very nice shave) then I took my horse for a ride and after that I followed my mum to the liquor store to stock up for christmas dinner(I'm just shy of old enough to drink so I'm still just a pack animal), later we had pizza for dinner.
It was actually a pretty nice day.

Thanked: 884Took my lovely wife to see a movie. Then we went grocery shopping and stocked up on BEEF that was on sale. Rib eyes and top sirloins were the order of the day. Almost got hit in the rear end by a bonehead on his cell phone. I was able to scoot up enough to keep him from sliding into the back end of my car. Kept my cool and laughed at him as he meekly drove by on the way to the next light.

Good drill
We spent the night in our underground bunker...checking emergency supplies,
cleaning weapons, reviewing our survival, escape and evasion plans. At dawn,
we checked the security panel: green board...no alarms, no booby traps activated.
We raised the periscope and scanned the perimeter: all clear...no zombies.
So we donned our gas masks, tinfoil helmets, biohazard suits, and web gear with
extra ammo. The 2 youngest girls carried their mini-14s, our eldest daughter a
12gauge tactical, my wife her M-16, and I carried my samurai sword, M1911 and
the 40mm grenade launcher.
We exited the bunker fast and low and made for the house. At the back door,
it was one high, one low, 3 cover the rear. I opened the door, tossed in a
flash-bang, and we made entry. The cat was stunned, but the house was clear.
We secured the family room and turned on the TV: Fox News. And there they
were...4 zombies, chattering about the fiscal cliff and the NRA.
Ops normal. We survived. All is well.
Good drill.

Woke up, had coffee and biscuits with sausage gravy. Sat down with my gal and watched zombie films and movies with doomsday on the brain. Kept a side arm next to me incase some nutter bangs on my door with a "the end is nigh" rant, or incase zombies break in the fort. Fixing to have some fish and chips, always wanted to try that. Figure tonight is as good a night as any. Bring on the thunder, I care not.

Thanked: 1160Well,,,I honestly wasn't expecting this thread to be long, but I must say that it is nice to see that everyone has/had a positive look on how they would go on the end of days as it were. Seems to be the concensus to eat well live well and just try to make the best of it with loved ones. Good on ya guys......Merry Christmas and Happy New Year eh ! God Bless !
