So far my wife is liking it. Probably has something to do with the fact I've historically shaved about once every month or two (I've got a short but full beard after about two weeks). Since I picked up DE/SR I've been clean-shaven, or at least looked it, more often than not. Plus, right now, its cheaper than the Mach 3/Fusion/etc. was since I also shave my head. DE blades have held up a lot better for that purpose than the multi-blades cartidges did so far.
We'll see how that changes as I accumulate more razors/mugs/soaps/strops/post and pre shave stuff/etc.

My wife just smiles at me politely and does her best to appear interested, bless her She does make a quite a few comments on how good my skin tone is though.
My parents think I have gone off the rails. My mother insisted that I shouldn't buy a straight, presumably because she saw Sweeny Todd on T.V. once, and whenever I bring SRS up in conversation with my father, I get comments like "my shaves only take 5 minutes and I am done" ..
Brother and his wife just look confused.
The only one that approves wholeheartedly is my bank manager.

She thought I was nuts when I first started down the str8 path... was sure I was going to turn into scarface or slice an ear. But she's adjusted... and no one on earth takes more time in the bathroom than she does, so that's never going to be an issue

Thanked: 13My g/f finds SRs very strange, but she says she's not all that suprised as I have a collection of strange hobbies and she's kind of got used to me learning a new "strange" every year
But even she must admit that my skin is better since I started using one.
Thogh I think she's started to feel a bit sorry for the postman with all the extra parcels he has to carry
