My girlfriend gets mildly irritated whenever she hears the names "Lynn Abrams" or "Maestro Livi", and she gets quite angry if a parcel arrives from either of them.

My wife clearly thinks it's manly. She's been known to say things like, "That's my favorite razor" and offers up, "He uses an old style straight razor" before I do in conversation. She has opinions on everything about my shaving from how pretty or ugly the various 'handles' are to how much she appreciates or dislikes the scent I'm lathering with.

She likes the scents, she likes the closeness of the shave.
She hates the time in the bathroom, she hates my using up the hot water.
Basicely she thinks the whole obsession is just plain nuts.

My wife just thinks I'm nuts and knows enough to stay clear when I'm shaving!

So far my wife is liking it. Probably has something to do with the fact I've historically shaved about once every month or two (I've got a short but full beard after about two weeks). Since I picked up DE/SR I've been clean-shaven, or at least looked it, more often than not. Plus, right now, its cheaper than the Mach 3/Fusion/etc. was since I also shave my head. DE blades have held up a lot better for that purpose than the multi-blades cartidges did so far.
We'll see how that changes as I accumulate more razors/mugs/soaps/strops/post and pre shave stuff/etc.
