I still want my money back because of Jar Jar. But on the other hand, the new Star Trek from 2009 is pretty awesome.
Awesome? Surely you jest. The film was pure blasphemy. Spock making out with O'Hura? Kirk an irresponsible, smart-ass punk? Checkov with curly hair? Heresy, I say!

Well they can do that because the movie takes place in an alternate time line. I thought it was good, just different from the rest of trek (way better than the star wars prequels). I'm interested to see how the new one turns out.

In the middle of Nemesis right now,

Young or old, Kirk was and always will be an irresponsible, smart-ass punk and that's why he kicks butt and gets all the chicks.

I disagree. A risk taker? Yes, but not irrespnsible. Smart-ass? No. Arrogant but backed up by a confidence that comes from years of experience. I still say the guy in the movie was just a smart-ass punk.

    Trek. By far.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

To me Empire Stikes Back will be the definitive Star Wars movie. I was way too young to remember a New Hope. I remember driving home after ESB pretending to use a lightsaber and dueling my little brother. TNG is fine but nothing will beat the original trilogy-before the enhanced versions.
