Star Trek if I have to choose, but I rather go for District 9!

Browncoats aside..I'm gonna agree with Bruno on this one. The Galactic Empire and even the rebel forces for that matter are built for space combat in every sense . Heavy Cruisers, fighter squadrons, shocktroops, elite forces of all kinds,Blasters, cannons, light sabres,Death Stars, and of course the Force. The Federation although they have Star Ships are more on the touchy feely humanitarian explorer camp and you ever notice that no matter what empire it is ,be it Romulan,Klingon,Federation etc. their ships even with deflector shields take a coupla hits and then they're done. They usually gotta warp out or evacuate. I like both, but truth be told...Star wars would hand the federation it's own ass...........IMHO ! Oh, one more thing...the Borg might be the exception as they are pernicious and just don't stop until they are vaporized.

Notice however that the Q was pretty much self absorbed and the universe was pretty much a playground for them. They didn't give much thought to empires and such as that was beneath them. I suppose the kinfolk of Odo(the Founders would be formidable along with their Drone troops the Jem Hadar(as long as they were kept loyal by their use of space coke) But still I think all the space craft of Star Trek were weak compared to the Star Wars Craft. Just my opinion however.

The OP reffered to TNG, in which the Klingons are part of the federation. They are hardly "touchy-feely" and I don't think they have a ship that isn't designed for battle.
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

True and true again...but still, a couple of hits to the shields and usually done.Though I'll give'em credit for being stubborn fighters who won't quite. Vader and the Klingons might blend quite well.

Basically I just feel that all the craft of Trek are weak, but the characters themselves are tough enough.

Give the Klingons some tie fighters and you basically would have the Bikers of space.

Star Trek has Captain Kirk and Spock! Enough said! It is a poor worker that blames his tools!
LOL I like it!
