Kinda makes the UK sound like a house of ill repute...what gives? There are some really, really not so nice "places" to be here in the US & I'm sure all around the world. WHy single out the UK?

If I recall correctly, it was Creutzfelt Jacob disease aka mad cow disease.

Mind you, you can still donate your body to science.
Medical students still need corpses to disect, and several other places could use your remains. I read an article about corpse farms, where forensic scientists do studies on the speed of decomp in a wide variety of circumstances.
