Perhaps. But only if you were one of the nobles.
Because otherwise you'd probably be a peasant working himself to an early grave in bad conditions or dying of some wasteful disease. And even if you'd see battle, as a commoner you'd not have access to armor, or swords, or advanced weaponry.
