Thanked: 1I'm a geek...
I'm into computers...building/repair/modding and I've been building websites since I was about 14. I'm currently involved in about half a dozen websites for myself and other projects. I'm also a Balisong manipulation artist which stems from my lifelong obsession with anything sharp...something that probably has a lot to do with my membership here.
I'm also growing my collecting of high end whiskeys, currently single barrle Kentucky's my favorite of which is Eagle Rare (17 year). I'm getting into Irish Whiskey a bit, but I have to admit I can't stand scotch. I'm trying to get into cigars to go along with my Bourbon so if any of you guys can give some advice like for suppliers and such I'm open to suggestions.
For those who might not get the first two hobbies see

and
HERE FOR BALISING

Cool. I always build my own computer. currently I am building a system with a core2duo 6600, 2GB DDR2 800MHz, Geforce 7600 VT (passive cooled), intel 975 mobo, mirrored WD320GB disks with 16MB cache.
I am in the process of incorporating myself as a freelance developer, so I figured I could do with a decent machine.
I also collect Scotch malts. My goal is to have had 1 bottle of each distillery. The tast of scotch malt is very outspoken compared to american or irish whisky, so I can see why you might be put off.
However, there are several wiskies that might suit you just fine, like Glen Elgin or Glen Turret.

Thanked: 1Yeah there's a few places where besics can be found. Probably the best beginner website (and the one I started with) would be www.balisongxtreme.com that was done by a guy named Clay who has since sold off the website (it's no longer updated) and dropped off the face of the earth. Also http://balisong.theasylum.org has tons of good videos by many different people. The major hangouts on the web for "Flippers" are www.bladeforums.com (there's a balisong forum) and another forum that has a following of this subculture that is more of a community of like minded gun/knife nuts is The Usual Suspect Network (a kind of private club that I'm pretty involved in). If you're going to get into it though I'd be very careful about checking the legalities in your locale as the Balisong is outlawed pretty much everywhere.

Nuts Gawker, the last thing I need is a new hobby but thats just too cool. I already juggle, and have some history in the martial art, plus I love sharp things. Nuts this could be far too easy to get hooked on.

Thanked: 1I had posted a comment and went about my business. In retrospect, it wasn't appropriate to post as it would have hijacked the thread so I deleted the comment. Never having had to delete a post, I wasn't sure if the system would show a blank spot edited or remove it completely. So I left my own explanation for the deletion.
Sorry to confuse.
