Well, you're looking for a topic whose last post was in May of 2006. With the volume of posts around here, that's WAYYYY back in the topics. Forget about it

Don't worry about it... I just posted the link so the dog lovers could see more of the member pets. If it sounded like a dig I apologize.
And just some forum trivia for everyone... you'll never get any matches on a search term of 3-letters or less... they're discarded. That's just the way the forum's search works, right or wrong. So, for example, while a search on "dog" or "pet" gets zero hits, one for "dogs " gets 71 and "pets" gets 16.

Thanked: 1587No, No I didn't think you were having a dig - I was just having a go at myself for not doing a thorough search.

I plan on getting an American Mastiff once I decide to cut down on the travelling. An American Mastiff is an Old English Mastiff that is about 1/16 Anatolian Shepard, which was used to give this breed tighter lips so they generally dont drool as much as an Old English. Here are few cute pics, from a breeders website:

It isn't the best picture, but it's what I've got handy.
The white & black dog is our border collie Jake. He's a short coat, and even we doubted his breed. He's really quick to learn, stares a LOT, and is hands down the most athletic & acrobatic dog I've ever seen. He zig-zags like an NFL player. Unreal.
The other dog is our German Shepherd Sasha. She looks like someone stuck a full-size dog in a shrinking machine. She weighs 70 pounds and is like a tank. She was a rescue dog, so we don't know if she's a mix or if it's just poor breeding. I don't really care. She's an absolute lover, and can't get enough attention. I don't think she's quite the deterrent to the cable guy my regular size, 85 pound GSD Keiko was, but she isn't afraid of thunderstorms.

the big white dog in the pic is Anubis, a timberwolf/malumute hybrid. His mom was a full timberwolf and his dad was half timberwolf/half malmute. Great animal but you have to be prepared because they will challenge for the alpha spot as long as they live. And they are companions, not pets. If you want a pet, get a goldfish.
