Thanked: 1184I did a search and found threads like this. I have another duck on the bench right now and trying to decide which color to do it in. This time I may do a vid "how to" .

10pups, my mouth is still open from my jaw dropping! That is the most beautiful DD I've ever seen, and I'd say that "Duck Under Glass" is a perfectly fitting name!!

Thanked: 1184Did I mention the tough part? Picking a color !
The dark blue is reserved for a DD Blue Jinx and the red for a DD Red Head.
I have another Satinedge that looks like it may go cell rot on me.(the dirty yellow one in the background) It's tip is rounded somewhat and the scales hit it sometimes. I think it would be wise to put some rot proof pants on it first. Besides it would be tough pulling the Wedge out of rotation. Since I got it from you and did some work on her, it has become 1 of my fav's. Love the feel I get using it. I call it my quackless duck because it cuts so silently like a wedge does. The blades kind of dirty because I just grabbed it out of my "to strop" pile for this pic.Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Gotta tell ya - I had a physical reaction to those scales! (in a good way) Where did you buy that stock? Is it all 1/4 or 1/8th? How'd you get them polished up to be transparent again? Gotta get me some of that for a few dducks I've been holding awaiting just the right material. Think I may have found it....
