    Thank you very much !
Used them both last night and they were wonderful. 1/2 of my face for first pass with each razor .Switched razors for cleanup on second pass.

that's what I usually do when I have new ones or some for someone that I just give a 1 stroke test if I'm in the mood, usually after HHT... but I'd be afraid to use yours, it'd be just to much of a shame if sth happened to them, I really like your carving work on these razors!

I usually have a handful with me when I shave. In most cases a pass or two tells
me what I need to know.
These Ivories are tougher than you think and more than they appear. The delicate look is in part due to carving tricks. Drop any razor and you run a risk of damage. But if I do I figure I built them once and can easily do it again,,, if not better! Been there done that.

I understand the sentiment but it's not like these are a one off Rembrandt. They can be redone easily . And if I own a razor , I'm using it regardless of age, beauty or rarity.
Look how Jay Leno drive millions of dollars worth of cars around LA streets! Like him nothing is a trailer queen in my collection . Even my double bladed razor from the Marquis' collection.

Funny you picked up on that aspect . What made it difficult is the fact that the center of the blossoms are lower than the surrounding surfaces , eliminating using an anvil, and the edges of the petals are so delicate. Care was needed.
