Default Custom 9/8+ Mithril & Elk Horn

    Good Evening Gents,

Here is an atypical fantasy razor that I just finished up for one of our fine members here who is a fan of the Lord of the Rings. The razor is meant to capture the flavor of a specific sword. I enjoyed making this razor and appreciate the opportunity in bringing it to fruition. There was considerable complexity involved in the project and it certainly brought its challenges for me, but I will save you those boring details. lol The blade is o1 alloy steel with Mithril (titanium) liners overlaid with elk horn. I chose a drill and blind tap method for fastening the wedge and drill and tap for the horn. There is some file work jumps and custom etchings in ivy and runes. I have included some photos, hope you enjoy them.

    Have a great week !

    Best Regards Ken

I love the blade shape, the scales are not really my style but I think I could get used to them.

    That's spectacular!

Love the blade and the scales! For my preference I would like something like a MOP flush with the scales.

    I want one, great work!!

Stunning as a word does not do this work justice. That is a museum quality piece and I am sure will be a great shaving straight razor.

A piece of art for sure- blade is incredible- though I love the look of the scales they are not to my personal taste as they make it look like a pocket knife IMHO, but to each his own- it's beautiful none the less!
