I always look at the workmanship, IMHO that is what counts and as seen here the workmanship is excellent

The fact that I happen to like the beautiful Horn and the choice of wedge decoration is an added plus, but even if it were Neon Green with a Screaming Yellow wedge it is always the workmanship that counts first "in my opinion"
Thanks gssixgun a real honor coming from you... Would have never gotten the wedge right if it wasn't for u! I used water this time with the gorilla glue.. That was the missing link *pun intended

Missing link?? Ohh that's what you meant!

Well, I guess I'll just delete the long post I had prepared on transitional fossils, especially as connected with human evolution...crap...this is a tough place!!

    Edit:
@ the OP was the tang off center ??? did you check it first ??? I have found I can save a ton of heartache and work if I just take a second to check the straightness of the razor steel itself first, then build the scales to any error that is there...
Tang was fine... When it didn't line up in mockup that's what I checked first ... It was a combo of horn flexing and misaligned holes.. Used a combo of doubled washers and taps on the pin (thanks again gssixgun) to get it closer to center
