Thanked: 61To straighten it you wrap the scales in aluminum and carefully heat it up on the non showing side with a clothing iron ... You'll feel it get very bendy and hot... It's noticeable when it gets to that point.. then clamp it to a straight board and wait until in cool... I usually bend a very very slight inside curve in it as well by putting something in the middle of the scales as well...
To polish sand with 220, 320, 600, 1200, 2000 then dico white on polish wheel then mothers metal polish lotion on wheel then learn how to utilize specular highlights in photography ;-)
