Default rescale dovo silver steel.. totally unnecessary but a huge improvement

So I couldn't resist and decided to try rescaling without using my right hand (i have a recurring case of "trigger finger" from years of abuse from playing instruments)... I taped up my index finger to immobilize it and used all power tools and sanded only with my left hand... My right hand doesn't ache at all... i should do everything with my left hand from here on out because this was a seem-less rescale... did it in a record 2 hours from drawing board sketches to pics

With all the talk to the sacriledge of rescaling old razors with modern designs in the other forum i decided to rescale my youngest razor with a modern squared scale design... bought this dovo silver steel (had ebony wood scales) from a member over at the other forums for a good price because it had only been used maybe once... It's my favorite shaver and until recently the only "new" razor I've owned... I loved the razor but hated the plain jane/thick and clunky scales...

Honey/black horn transition with MOP kirinite wedge and all brass hardware to match the gold wash

I defy DOVO to make better looking scales than this

Disclaimer:Had to delete/clone out heavy dust on this last pic... I should really dust better... that's why it looks a little wierd

Very nice. I like the corners on the scales. It complements the lines of the blade itself. Nice choice.

For what it's worth, I've had trigger finger surgery on three fingers on my right hand - basically a two to three week recovery, and no problems. In and out of day surgery unit in a couple of hours. Strongly recommend it, if it's messing up your life and work.
Nice razor, too. I am loving honey horn.
