    Purpleheart scales CA finished, a lil modification of the blade and pinned it with domed SS washers and Nickel Silver pins.Name:  IMG_20131229_203742.jpg

    How was working with the purpleheart? Is it an easy wood to work with?

    Thanks guys!

    I wanted to see what I could do with one of those Gold Dollars people talk about. Some grinding, a bit of sanding, a new set of, scales with a couple coats of CA and here ya have it!

    Put it to the stones again (checked for good bevel first) gave it a test shave and I am pretty impressed so far. DFS out of it. I might have a TINY heel hook I will have to fix but other than that it is not bad at all!

    I don't see any difference in it. Seems easy enough to work with. Plus it is a cool color... Lol
