7/8 Custom Fancy Bolsters Black Micarta
Good Evening,
It has been bone chilling cold these last few weeks, no better time to work on razors This one is the first that I have made with custom bolsters and the first finished in 2014. The blade is 7/8 scales are jet black micarta with a near flawless glassy polish.
Bolsters were cut and filed by hand from brass sheet stock. Turned out to be very time consuming, which I new it would be, lol. Blade is 1/4 hollow mirror like finish with a beveled spine. Top jimps with some etched stripes in the tang.
The presentation stand was made with food grade 1/2 plexiglass, corners beveled. I used a 5/16 brass rod threaded and tapped into the base. Then I fastened a 5/16 earth magnet on the top.
Thanks for looking and have a great week!
Best Regards Ken

I can't decide what I like best about it, the blade or the scales.
