Mark that's a beauty! Meant to ask - I'm about to order the power source, wands, and wash from Caswell so I can finally get around to restoring gold plating (and adding some to tangs I think are begging for it). On the one above I notice the gold wash has a nice even finish - so how "clean" do you have to get the metal to get that smooth mirror gold finish? I assume the tang needs to be mirror finished but don't know for sure.

Yes, it has to be as perfect as you can get it . The gold doesn't hide a thing? It accentuates it.

Thanked: 6Josh,
Really a work of art, you must be very pleased that you were able to bring it back to like new condition. I am sure everyone will enjoy it and be inspired to do the same with some other classic American blades. WELL DONE my friend,
Gary
