I have a razor that I believe is being rescaled in the same material. I am wondering if there is a way to sand/shape the material so it shows a more traditional camo pattern and have it work for a razor scale? This is very cool as it is, and the bullet holes are a cool touch. I am wondering if this pattern is possible with the material. Either way, awesome work. Nice clean scales with a cool twist.

I have worked with this material on knife handles. To get this pattern on a razor handle would be tough. If you grind through multiple layers while contouring a knife handle, this appears like the lines on a topographic map. You could thin the edges and ends of a razor's scales and this pattern will start to materialize, but to a lesser degree.

Thanks all,
It should be possible if the layers are thin enough and you have enough "meat" to sand away to get this pattern. Should be able to get a long way I think.
First I drilled the holes ( 2mm ), than I put in a countersink drillbit and just countersunk the holes a little. Than I took a scalpel and hand carved all the little cracks. Bit labour intensive, but a nice effect.

Are those bullet holes!? That is definitely the vibe I get and I love how well that came together! Fantastic work! Gives it a nice balance.
