can't argue with the commercial aspect
But I will continue to deny any knoweldge of a $4 option for a new blade with the Minister for Finances especially as long as I can still get a quality Vintage steel for under $25 I am happy to play with it & make it complete.
I have a nice little 5/8" KeenKutter blade that I have just made new Black horn scales & wedge for that is awaiting pinning, that might just have to wait & get a touch from the dark lord I think

Yeah don't waste your time with gd if you have the money to do so.... Buy a ralf aust from SRD.... Better shave, better razor, better looking etc... The only reason I would even think about bluing a razor myself is that it has to be dirt dirt cheap... Although I keep on looking at my hart steel and think... Wouldn't it be better black???

Quite a transformation very well done, from a Gold dollar into a black pearl.

Heespharm there's a good name if you haven't settled upon one yet! Has both Asian roots and a Pirates of the Caribbean ring to it.

Why did you cut it down that far? Was it because it just looks like a better geometry, to make it quarter hollow, or a result of various experiments and that was what was left? Either way it does indeed have a nice shape to it that compliments the bluing.
Black lotus not black pearl or black ninja... Tho all are good names... People are naming it for me

No that was the other guy who posted his in this thread HIS was a 4/8... I'm a go big or go Home type of guy... I think these Chinese razors already have really bad geometry problems making a 4/8 would render the razor useless

    Thanks for the compliment
