    Yeah I returned the variable speed buffer after I destroyed that 9/8 FBU W&B.... probably gonna just use a clear glossy poly and keep the natural color...ive got some bigger buffing wheels for the dremel, may try it on scrap before I put it on the scales.

    Dremel may work if you can get some paste or compound applied to the wheels.

    The size/thickness of the scales all looks to be in order. Did you use rivets to pin it together?
