Looks good. Really like the look of the scales, shame they are warping.

Any suggestions on how to still use this material but prevent warping? Like lining with brass? But how thick of a plate?

I used .01 brass on these. Provided a lot of stiffness with just enough flex.

Man, that's too bad. I came to post how much I like the scales. The material almost look like dragon scales or something. Anyway, if you do try lining it again, in the future, another idea might be to add a 3rd pin for stability? Good luck, I've never seen anything quite like that material - very nice!

Actually I redid it today with fresh stock and made the scales thicker... It's lookin good and feeling more stable but we'll check in in a couple of days

Very interesting blend of ideas, like a merging of styles.

Good luck - hopefully those won't warp on you, but if they do, Hart's suggestion of a brass (or another metal) lining is a good one.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
