Old Frenchie
Just finished this old stub tail. Don't know much about it. The tang is stamped with a crown and looks like WOL and the beginning of another letter. I got it with some very poor condition tortoise shell scales. I cleaned off the crusty stuff and left the rest of the age on the old man. New scales in faux Tortoise and bone wedge. Making the 1/4" dome washers took the longest but was fun...
The easy road is rarely rewarding.

Thanked: 4249Pretty sure this could be a "Wolf" acier fondu, wicth would make this razor from Sheffield! A trademark used by John Shepherd 1770-1795.

That would fit. The missing letter has a vertical left edge...

That is Masecraft's "East Tortoise." They also have "West" that is a little darker overall.
