    Default IXL Washington Works

This one turned out pretty nice, so I thought I would share it. I always liked the etched ivory on some old Wostenholms and found some with a poor blade knowing I had a nice old regrind with warped, bug-eaten scales. As I unpinned everything and scrubbed rust, I found cracks on the backside of the front scale across the wedge pin, but not all the way out, and from the pivot hole. At this point, since the originality was out as for collarless peens, I dug out and CA'ed the crack on the bottom, cut the top of the scales at the pivot holes, reshaped the tips, and installed my blade super-tight to the wedge end using reinforced silver collars and bronze pins. Lucky me, it centers in that tiny space perfectly! A sweet shaver!

"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
    I rest my case.
