    Default ATOR in Midnight acrylic

An ERN Ator has been high on my must have list for a long time, and a few months ago I finally found one in a local Antique store.
One of the scales was broken at the wedge end, but they weren't the originals anyway.
I printed out a scale template from the PDF file that's on the WIKI page somewhere and made a new set in midnight acrylic that should be very close to the original Ator shape.
The wedge is cow bone, S/Steel washers on Nickel Silver pins
The blade was hand sanded to a near mirror finish.

Nice job on the blade and the scales. That's a neat acrylic.
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

Nice work getting the shape right for an Ator. That swoop is necessary for that blade, I think!
    Good-looking razor!

Good show with your scales, baldy. The Ator is a fine razor and deserves the handsome scales you have made for it.

That's one handsome razor... nice work!

What progression did you use for sanding the blade?
When you are dead, you don't know that you are dead. It's difficult only for the others.
It's the same when you are stupid.

Don't tell him! He is thinking of sanding the blade of his shorty Ator! His warranty will be voided!
    That peening hammer is sweet!

Very nice job! I really like the slight curve to the scales. Just shows what is possible WITHOUT power tools for cleaning up blades.

To be honest I dont remember exactly, but it would have been something like: 320, 400, 600, 800, 1200, 2000, a couple of grades of micromesh, then some Autosol polish.
