    Default Wm Hawcroft and Sons

I have had this blade for a while. A thread on it over a year ago provided some interesting info from some of our fine historians here: http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...ted-steel.html Thanks to Neil, Martin, And Zak!
It was very nice and so I did minimal hand polishing on it. I decided to dress it in these sterling scales from Whiting of New York and completed it a few months ago. I have finally negotiated a deal on this Hawcroft "Razor Maker" ivory container. I have no idea as to it's purpose. Strop paste? Snuff box? It is interesting how it opens and closes. One must twist to open and twist to close (gently!), yet there are no threads! Seems to have a slight 'egg' shape to the areas where it goes together, but cannot be seen!
As some patina has formed on the scales and the container has joined it, I wanted to share it. Hope you like it!
