Default $5 worth of Flea Market Goodness!

Bought this razor for $5 at the local flea market. Germania Cutlery, The Oxford Razor.

Scales are broken. Surprisingly, there was no inner washer.

Blade is pretty clean. 20 or 30 minutes with some Mothers yielded this.

Got some Birdseye Maple that will make beautiful scales.

Nice Birdseye Maple. Are you treating it with anything like Tung Oil?
May your lather be moist and slick, the sweep of your razor sure, and your edge always keen!

Thanks. And I think smooth shaving is apropos. Honed it up today. Took a bevel and a shave ready edge really quickly and easily. I think I'm going to enjoy the shave tonight(night shaver).
