Custom rescale
Not sure on who made the custom but the scales were junk...the razor is actually surprisingly nice though...so I rescaled it for Rick Boone. Anywho...enjoy. maybe rick can chime in on the custom razor maker.
Bocote scales finished in carnauba wax.

What do u mean spacer?
You say it will work like there's better or other options. Can you explain, if this is the case, so we can learn? If I'm mistAken and misinterpret what you're meaning, forgive me. Just wanting to get input and insight.http://ashevillewetshavers.weebly.com/ April 26-27th come to one of the greatest meet ups of wet shavers!

The wedge had to be made thicker because of issues with the tang. It's narrower than the spine and slightly curved.
I believe this is a piece of carved slate he used for the wedge. or spacer.
Thanks for the comments and feedback.http://ashevillewetshavers.weebly.com/ April 26-27th come to one of the greatest meet ups of wet shavers!

Sweet scales! Pixel means that the fat spacer works in lieu of a wedge, but sometimes this is necessary in dealing with wooden scales which will never 'bend' to allow use of a wedge-shaped spacer at the...er,, wedge end! Wood has to be really thin and coaxed into a proper 'bowed' situation to accommodate tangs and blades. Just as Horn, ivory, and bone, not to mention any sort of modern materials. Wood does not want to bend. JMHO!

I rest my case.

Ahhh.... Thanks for clearing this up.
So when does a wedge become a spacer? I mean...same material may be used...http://ashevillewetshavers.weebly.com/ April 26-27th come to one of the greatest meet ups of wet shavers!

Certainly! A wedge is wedge shaped and a spacer is uniform in thickness. A wedge will 'bow' the scales, making room for the tang to enter, yet keeping the end narrow so as to contain the blade at the appropriate level. One of the most frustrating parts of fitment.
A spacer is a cure-all. Sometimes it is the 'end-all' as the scales will not bend in order to do a wedge. It happens!"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.
