Well at least you're honest about it Bruno. They look like Yabadabadoo scales.

Yep. When I sold the blade, I considered putting new scales on it before putting it in the classifieds.
Instead I decided to sell it cheap, as is. And a good thing too, since the new scales are much nicer than if I had put on some basic scales.

In fairness though, it was meant to look a bit rough. that blade is VERY heavy, and the then owner and I both felt that it would look fine.
that is also why the stainless spacer has that hammered look. I only ended up owning that blade when the owner was thinning his herd and sold it to me because I'd expressed interest.
Double interesting is that many, many years ago I was outbid on ebay on that particular blade, by the person who ended up sending it to me for restoration.

Whoa, I think all of this should be written down so the next person won't have to do a ton of research like Neil Miller or Martin 103 or Zak. Just keep the provenance with the razor, it is a fun historical journey just missing the early years before it jumped into this century...or maybe the last!

The way it has come to this point is part of a long journey. Hats off to everyone for preserving it and treating it respectfully. The blade and scales are nice.
Well done and a pleasure to view!
