    Ditto, fantastic job. The case and razors look great but wonderful job on the case !

    Yes the latches had to come off. They were held on with small iron nails at .030 diameter. The ends were just bent over inside the covers. I filed the heads off and pushed them out with a small pin punch. I made new ones from brass that I had to anneal to bend them over . Found that out the hard why when the first one broke when bending. I formed the heads just like you would make pins for scales.
