My kind of razor. Very clean and simple. I like my scales to be one solid color and a very mild shape.

That's a really nice job Wirm. I have a further question about the wedge - how do you avoid a heat build up when using the rotary part of the sander? I'm assuming the wedge must be in place - or is it just a case that it is not so important on G10 as it would be on, say, celluloid scales?
My service is good, fast and cheap. Select any two and discount the third.

Thanks UKRob . Yes I do trim the wedge after it is pinned, and I have not found over heating to be a issue. If you think about it ,the wedge has been tapered and is now fairly thin and if you use a light touch and take little bites there is little to no heat build up. I do keep a container of water nearby when tapering the wedge as the brass does heat up uncomfortably at that stage. I generally use pressure sensitive double sided turners tape (it holds like a champ)to hold the wedge material either to a small stick or most often my finger for the tapering process . After trimming on the disc I like to use my dmt card to refine the fit and remove any scratches then hand sand and polish.
