Schweet! Now. What kinda wood? Suppose it is a bit moist? Sealing the inside? What did Puma do on their boxes?
Inquiring minds need to know!"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."

Thanked: 4249Actually, looking closer at the 2 puma boxes i have, there a small logo on the box, Durofol.
From wikipedia:
Durofol is a man-made wood material , is using phenolic resin made of compressed wood with grain . The veneer layers are not glued but impregnated with phenolic resin and under high pressure and high temperature pressed . The term is a registered trademark and is derived from the sole producer of this material, the durofol KG, J. Brangs & Co. from Solingen , later durofol Press GmbH.
In the 1960s and 1970s was the style of many public transport from durofol. Later, they were mostly replaced by upholstered seats. Another application area were pistol grips. Today you can find durofol still in handles of cutlery .
