Thanked: 4249Very nice work Bruno, the geometry must be perfect because that bevel looks very very small, well done.

Another superb combination of steel and scale. Those are my favorite scales from you so far.

Great looking razor, the grinds look perfect. Is there a trick to grinding that thin after heat tread without burning the edge, or is it just a case of keeping it slow and steady?

I didn't see the question until now. My apologies.
Yes, there is a trick. Or rather, common sense really.
Post HT you should only use sharp belts, and the belts for grinding should not be used for shaping, or you'll just waste belts more quickly. For the rest it is a matter of going slow and steady, and not linger in one place.
That, and just grinding hundreds of razors. The first ones will suck, the ones after will just be ugly, eventually they'll start to have a correct and even geometry and the bevels will go smaller and smaller, and your biggest challenge will be to get a very even finish.
Initially I set bevels before polishing and making scales to make sure the edge would be ok and there would be no errors. I'd have to go back to the grinder several times before I got it right. These days I don't set the bevel until the blade is finished and mounted in scales.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.
