    Well, that is the fun part of learning. Finding out what works and what does not, and trying out ideas. It sure is fun to work with razors and learn all I can.

    No doubt. Knives & razors differ on some basic levels & when understood they both look like an obviously different tool.
    Good luck on your 'way'. It does look like a heap of fun & the little Higo is very nice.

    Well, Mr. Onimaru55, you are right that this is not the most practical design. I milled out the back spacer and then added a mid pin so that the blade never touches anything. I also set it deeper into the handle and antiqued the brass. It is novel looking and does shave. The long heavy blade is a tad unwieldy, but it pops the hairs right off. So... a fun experiment/learning experience. However, traditional styles are that way for good reasons :-) A few more pics for you. I hope your weekend is going well.
