    Hmmm. Le Coultre is Swiss.
I was just looking at my Le Coultre downstairs and noticed it is in fact, Swiss....so looks like I'm a fan of Swiss framebacks as well. Thanks.

France .....Swiss. As far as I know the village of Sentier is located on the French-Swiss border.

My LeCoultre has only one single blade. There is no need for the screwdriver because the screw
is in the form of a watch crown which you can move easily with your finger tips.

Cool detail on the screw and overall a sweet razor.

I have two - one with a crown like that, and another with only 2 blades, and the screwdriver in the coffin box. The cardboard sleeve has room for seven blades, but alas, only one on the blade and one in the sleeve remains.

I have a nice Leresche frameback on the way with what appears to be a brass frame and a layered, Damascus type steel blade...I have always found the framebacks are exceptional shavers.

Nice restore !! Have you J. Coultre fans ever come across one like this...with the finger reliefs ?? I have 2 more un used full blades to go with it. It just sits in the drawer waiting its turn...it's been 3 years since its been used.

For such a simple device, those things strike me as a marvel of machinist's art. I was all excited about eventually trying to do a project like that at some point perhaps using AEB-L for the blades until I found out how THIN the blade and the slot are!!!!!! LOL. That is indeed a razor that a maker of fine watches would build.

I would like to get a reading on the threading of the crown screw. Meaning that once I have a correct thread/ diameter count I can make some. All my tries to find replacement screws for my set of the Razors has come to naught. I have a make do but do not like it.
    Thanks in advance.

PS I have seen the two cutout razors but none of mine have them.

Just an observation. That razor looks like it may have a tapered wedge just because razors normally have tapered wedges. The thick frame looks like it is all the stop you needs with no need to taper down the sales at the toe end.
