I agree, looks a bit heavy. I have to cover the blade for safety. In reality, all the easier I'm bad photograph.
What is the "Tang"? can not understand (((If something is unclear in the text, please correct me ......

Heavy is good! I did not mean the tail. I was referring to the area of the tang from the top pin to where the blade starts.
