your workmanship & finish does look excellent,
but the tang looks short to me also.
just my observations & opinion YMMV
as a guide for designs, all my vintage straights I have been measuring for ideas & guides have the following dimensions
Blade edge = 3" long +/-1/8" (75mm +/-3mm)
heal to pivot (thumb rest) = 1.5" long +/-1/4" (40mm +/-6mm)
Tail from pivot to inside of curve finger rest = 1.25" long +/-1/4" (30mm +/-6mm)
Monkey tails add extra inches length to suit your taste
now the only reason in my opinion all these different brands have very these similar dimensions is because the old boys found what worked for the masses as they progressed for over 200 years from the late 1700's Stub tails through the peek of the Straights use & fame in the 1800's to the current modern designs & brands

I am seeing gently rounding the heel forward until it feels right and measures up with established grinds. It can easily be done and will add a curve to the blade!
"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

See how the distance from the heal to the pivot on yours is about 2/3 the length of the W&B above most of my blades from a 1" W&B to a 5/8 are very close to the same size

Now, I understand you.
Style Razor is not allowed to withstand the classic dimensions and should always experimenting.
All the matter of habit, and I think that it is not critical.

I do like the angularity of it. I'm a fan of spike points.

Love the spike point, and the profile of that hollow grind - superb!
Beautiful job.

Thanked: 315That is beautiful. Very unique. The 'tail' looks really nice, flat on one side, slight curve on top. Very clean/modern feel to it. I didn't love the scales at first glance, but the more I look at them the more I like them.

i think it would work fine for me! i let the scales stick out parallel with the blade when i shave so the shorter distance wouldn't be a problem. Nice work!
