Thanked: 1184Wostenholm , stub
Pretty simple, pretty cheap. When I got it I cleaned it up some to see what I had.
The line is rusted where the blade rested on the scales. It was on both sides.
It bit me, but I have used it a few times now and it got used to me :<0)
I basically unpinned and took my time with this. It had scale issues. Cracks inside at the pivot holes and crooked as a dog's hind leg. I thought for awhile they were turtle , but experts say no. I call it weird horn :<0) Weird grain pattern and just did everything weird. Smelled weird sanded weird. The pivot hole was so crooked I had to put the scales back to make it close at all.
I am having such a fun time finishing off some razors , I don't make time to build a photo tent. Sorry.Last edited by 10Pups; 05-21-2015 at 08:36 PM.

Looking good!
It's fun restoring these old pieces of history, I never thought I'd enjoy it so much, even just some soaking, cleaning up, and sanding is very enjoyable.
Yes, sometimes a lot of work on a razor, get it looking good, and the pics don't do it justice, these pics look great though - great job.

That's a nice one, I love the wide gimped tang. I can still see it in identical but new horn scales, though. Maybe it's just reflections that make it look cloudy and delaminating.

Thanked: 118Looks great as usual. I need to add a stub tail to my batch badly.
May your lather be moist and slick, the sweep of your razor sure, and your edge always keen!
