Very nice. Don't be so stingy with the technical details.

Been seeing a lot of your work lately, superb, trying to find a pic of a big 9/8 or 10/8 I saw of yours, spike point / spanish point type razor you were holding with an old Sheffield, was a gorgeous blade, heard my Sheffield's yell up from the basement in jealousy, do you happen to know the one I'm talking about, have a pic?

    Great work!

You're psychic brother - that's is the exact pic I was thinking of....that particular blade has been haunting my dreams of late, I'd want a thumb notch and I'd be good to go. It reminds me of one of my favorite razors, this 9/8 Wade and Butcher:

here are a few quick sketches with thumb notch/thumb ramp and spine/tip variations. far right is 9/8 with a traditional domed or rounded spine and a thumb ramp under tang (my preference). middle is 9/8 spanish point with flat sided spine and again with a thumb ramp. far left is a 9/8 with a slant edge (heel is closer to 8/8) beveled spine, more conventional thumb notch instead of the ramp and the tip is similar to a cyma curve vs spanish notch. Ill likely make up all three versions as prototypes for myself to test in a few weeks, opinions welcome!

The one on the left completes me...beautiful! I hereby volunteer to be the tester of that particular prototype, you may not get it back however, would compensate though with hugs and PayPal...

edited to add: yes, and take out the barber's notch for a straight edge and spike point and I'll throw in an extra hug.

    Great work!
this one is the rough ground state of the prototype of my "biggin" next to a 15/16 Wade & Butcher. The prototype measured in at 17/16, right inbetween 9/8 and 10/8.
